How to Datamine

If you want to datamine, you need a “handgrabber”. This is a program that save hand histories (grab hands) from any table that you are watching, whether or not you are playing yourself.

The most common way of using the datamined hand histories is to import them in Pokertracker, and that way get a wast amount of informations about the other players at your table. This can be a big advantage, since you can learn a lot about a player, even if you haven’t played a single hand against them.

The best handgrabbers are made by Idleminer, who offer 2 different lines of handgrabbers: “Idleminer” and “Hand Grabber” – They both let you datamine pokersites, however, Idleminer is fairly advanced where Hand Grabber sacrifice some features to make it easier to ure. If you are new to datamining I recommend that you use one of the Hand Grabber products, since they are a bit easier to use than Idleminer.
